Rockhopper Agency Announces Signing of Tennis System

Los Angeles-based Tennis System chooses Rockhopper to represent the band in European and Scandinavia

HELSINKI, FINLAND –16th of November, 2015 – Booking agency Rockhopper Agency today announced that it signed Los Angeles fuzz merchants, Tennis System.

Tennis System debuted in 2011 with Teenagers, featuring the stunning single, “Hey We Tried. In the fall of 2014 the band released Technicolour Blind, which marked a distinct maturation of the band’s heady, fever-dream soundscapes. Its tracks, including “Technicolour Blind,” “Memories & Broken Dreams” and the sparkling, anthemic “Dead Honey” are melodic departures from the gritty, fuzz-washed tunes on the earlier release.  The band’s more refined sound, while still featuring squealing guitar and driving bass, better represents the strange dichotomy of life in Los Angeles click for more. Tennis System’s sound is sun-bleached and wary, celebrating both the thrilling beauty and starkly menacing underbelly of their home.

Archie Dani, recently chosen by Rockhopper founder Juha Juoni to head the company’s U.S. division, was responsible for the signing the band.

“I was very aware of the street-level buzz and critical interest in Tennis System before I saw them live,” stated Archie. “But their live show blew me away. I knew they were ready to take their experience touring the states to an international level. Rockhopper is the perfect vehicle to expose this fantastic band to European and Scandinavian audiences.”
