Black Royal

Vuonna 2013 perustettu Black Royal soittaa pirullisen tarttuvaa death metallin ja sludgen sekoitusta, jota bändi kutsuu Death Bluesiksi. 

Black Royal on julkaissut kaksi omakustanne -EP:tä ja kolme täyspitkää albumia, joista kaksi (Lightbringer 2018 ja Firebride 2020) julkaistiin ruotsalais-suomalaisen Suicide Recordsin kautta. Vuonna 2021 Black Royal teki sopimuksen yhdysvaltalaisen M-Theory Audion kanssa, jonka kautta kolmas ja uusin albumi Earthbound julkaistiin 21.10.2022.

Tähän mennessä yhtye on kiertänyt 15 maassa ympäri Eurooppaa. Lavalla bändi loihtii esiin äänimassan, joka saa yleisön epäilemään olevansa osa häpeämättömän groovia demonista rituaalia - tai mustaa ja hikistä death’n’roll -settiä. Merkittäviä keikkoja ovat olleet muun muassa 2018 Tuska Open Air festarit, lämmpärikeikat mm. Corrosion of Conformity (USA) vuonna 2019 ja Euroopan kiertue Diabolicalin (Ruotsi) kanssa vuonna 2020.

Formed in 2013, Black Royal plays a highly infectious combination of Scandinavian death metal with a crushing sludge.

Black Royal has released two albums,  Lightbringer (2018) and Firebride (2020), with with a Swedish/Finnish label Suicide Records. Both albums were very well received by the media worldwide and were selected in numerous Top 2020 listings in the media. 

In 2021 Black Royal signed with US based M-Theory Audio and the newest album Earthbound was released on October 21st,  2022.

So far, the band has toured in 15 countries throughout Europe. On the stage they conjure out a sound mass that makes the audience suspect they are part of a shamelessly groovy demonic ritual or black and sweaty death’n’roll set. Notable gigs include 2018 Tuska Open Air, opening for e.g. Corrosion of Conformity in 2019 and a European tour opening for Diabolical (SWE) in 2020.
